In 1990, seven young male dancers – 6 gay, 1 straight – joined Madonna on her most controversial tour. On stage and in the iconic film Truth or Dare they showed the world how to express yourself. Now, 25 years later, they reveal the truth about life during and after the tour. Strike a Pose is a dramatic tale about overcoming shame and finding the courage to be who you are.

The idea for Strike a Pose arose from a simple question: whatever happened to the male dancers from Truth or Dare? Meeting with and talking to each of them (except for Gabriel Trupin, who died of AIDS-related causes in 1995, but whose mother participates), it turned out there was a wealth of emotion, struggle and personal growth in all of their stories. The result isn’t just a look back on a wild time with Madonna many years ago. In reuniting the six remaining dancers, and allowing them to share their experiences with each other as well as the audience, Dutch film makers Ester Gould and Reijer Zwaan have directed an extraordinarily moving documentary film.
