The American artist Mary Mattingly builds ‘living systems’. She dreams of bringing nature back into the city because there isn’t a lot of it in New York City. As part of Strongbow Apple Ciders’ global series of Nature Remix projects, Mattingly and her team transform a barge into an apple orchard circling Manhattan to give people an unexpected, and much-needed dose of nature.
Director Daniel Nogueira took the challenge of the weather and time available by heart and through collaborating with these guerrilla gardeners (with no commercial experience on building something that is both good for a film and good for nature) created this well crafted visual eyecandy.
